It’s a great day for the Signal of Doom as friend of the show, Dane Lamont, from Punisher Bodycount, the internet’s premier Punisher podcast, joins Dave for an in-depth discussion of the 90’s cross over Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Heats of Darkness, and it’s accompanying sequel “Dark Design”! We go IN-DEPTH on both of the books, written by Howard Mackie, with art by John Romita Jr in “Hearts of Darkness”, and Ron Garney in “Dark Design”. The art is something ELSE!
Also, Dane and Dave go in DEEP on the Punisher and what he is like both as reflection of society and the evolution of the character from the 80’s and 90’s to NOW. We talk about past runs and where the character could be headed in the future. Dave openly speculates who is the editor on Punisher, forgetting this is in the issue itself! Seriously, there’s a lot to enjoy in this episode for fans of the Punisher, Wolverine AND Ghost Rider.
Also, Dane tells some awesome stories about his time working as an extra on the recent Marvel Netflix shows, and some cool insights into how that works along some stories of the one & only Jon Bernthal on set!

Davey has been busy listening to podcasts and gushes about an interview he heard with Denny O’Neil, and the story behind the Batman character Leslie Thompkins, who was based on a real civil rights activist.

Gary Oldman has thrown his hat into the ring and he’s chasing a Marvel movie. Dave comes up with some of his worst ever fancast calls, while Stew hits it out of the park with his suggestions which include Galactus himself!
There’s a whole discussion about Netflix and “Bright”, and it’s 10 years since the tragic death of Heath Ledger, a renowned and very talented actor who so perfect in “The Dark Knight” playing the Joker. There’s a new Robocop movie rolling down the line, and Superman’s red trunks are back on the outside!
Meanwhile there’s a new petition to apparently make the Joker gay “again”, Dan Slott is off Spider-Man and onto Iron Man, and the boys revisit one of their favourite arguments – will Robin Williams get a cameo as the Genie in Aladdin!

There’s sexual harassment allegations against Stan Lee, a Black Widow movies is reportedly under development, Mark Wahlberg is buy driving a hard bargain, Bendis done for a backup story on Action Comics 1000, filming has wrapped on Avengers 4, and Dave has more to say about the upcoming Sabrina Netflix show!
Also, look for a neat comic by the one and only Gary Kwapisz, a Civil War zombie story, Stonewall’s Arm!
And of course as Adam Crouch has commented – Stew, the Mammoth was DEAD!
